Export Excellence in Sub-Saharan Africa Winner 2016
We are pleased to announce that Tan Sales (London) Ltd has won the Export Excellence in Sub-Saharan Africa Award 2016 at the UK Export Excellence Awards Ceremony 2016 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
The UK Export Excellence Awards celebrates and commemorates the achievements of the UK’s exporters over the last year, rewarding excellence across a range of sectors and geographical regions.
Tan Sales (London) Ltd is an exporter and distributor of electrical and lighting equipment and have been established for over 30 years. The core strength of our work is supplying materials to large public sector projects such as the construction of commercial buildings and infrastructure buildings. We have built a reputation that is prevalent in the market as the go to company for supply and support in such projects.
We develop relationships with customers over many years and offer them expertise, value and finance to assist in doing business with them.
Our project highlights include the supply of all electrical and lighting equipment for the Dar es Salaam, Julius Nyerere International Airport. We undertook to design the lighting for the entire indoor part of the passenger terminal in house and with great success our design was accepted and we won the supply of this. Our aim was to ensure that the design we offered was technically efficient so as to minimise the carbon footprint of the building. We are honoured to be a part of this very prestigious project and due to the mammoth effort we put in with our client the project is now entering its second phase.
Our continuous strive for innovation, value and quality has shown through in the projects we undertake. Over the last two years we have been working on the Dar es Salaam, PSPF Towers, LAPF Tower and TPA Tower projects which are all high rise towers. PSPF Towers being the tallest tower built in Africa this decade. We supplied a comprehensive suite of electrical distribution switchgear from 33kV where buildings connect to the utility grid to the final distribution board where the lights and sockets would connect to. Our team offered comprehensive technical support during the design, construction, testing and implementation of the project.
We are also proud to be involved with the supply of floodlighting to the Dar es Salaam, Jakaya Kikwete Sports Park. We designed and supplied the floodlights and support equipment to illuminate a Sunderland FC sponsored FIFA standard football training ground. In addition to shipping the floodlights, we also arranged and shipped all the donated football equipment and kit that Sunderland FC had sponsored.
To provide the best possible service we constantly invest in training and development for all our team. One of the most important things that we do is learn from our suppliers who are the manufacturers and at the avant-garde of the industry.
With innovation and technology the driver for markets in the developed world, it is our duty to ensure that those in the developing world utilise their resources in the best way so as to foster and build cities and nations that will be standing and safe for generations to come.
We look forward to continuing our great relationships with our clients, suppliers and manufacturers.
